Ranger (1:50 Scale)

Corel’s Ranger is a wooden model ship kit of a typical revenue cutter used in the early 1800s for patrol on the American coast. A large carronade that rotated a full 360 degrees permitted rapid fire from both sides of the hull with a single weapon.

Corel’s Ranger (1:50 Scale) kit features a double plank-on-bulkhead hull construction with all major wooden structural parts pre-cut for accuracy. There are white metal fittings which include the tiller, bill, helm, belaying pins, anchors, mast caps, cabin windows and door, handrails, cleats, oarlocks to name a few. The blocks are made of deadwood and the deadeyes are made of walnut. Woods such as walnut limewood and mahogany are used extensively. This kit comes with 2 sizes of rigging a name plate and base. There are full size plans and manual so you can build with ease.
