The Dana Fishing Boat is a typical fishing cutter from North Zealand in Denmark. Around the turn of the 19th century, many boats of this type sailed in along the Danish coast. During the 1920’s many of the cutters were fitted with engines, which enabled an even quicker landing of the catch.

This is a kit designed with the beginning ship modeler in mind. The kit features an ABS plastic hull and deck, with pre-formed cabins. No hull planking is required, but planks are included for the planking of the deck and cabin tops. Fittings included are of wood, plastic, and turned brass. Instructions consist of a simple booklet of diagrams with limited text provided in 6 languages including English. Sailcloth, wooden dowels, chain, and rigging line all included.
