The J-Class Endeavour was specifically designed in the 1930’s to compete in the America’s Cup. Just 10 yachts on the class were built, considering that the costs of both construction and maintenance were extremely high.
The designation J refers to the sail plan, displacement, length and mast height. The challenger in the 1934 America’s Cup was Endeavour, designed by Charles Nicholson. This great naval architect produced on of the most beautiful J’s and his sail plan was truly innovative. Kit includes: Ready made wooden hull with completely planked deck; Laser cut mahogany deckhouses; Mast and rigging; Sail cloth; Brass fittings; Photoetched brass details.
