The “Les Trois Freres” (Three Brothers) is a “Sinagot”, a typical French fishing craft from the Gulf of Morbihan region of Brittany, built in 1943. She was restored by a local group known as the “Amis du Sinagot”, and in 1983 was listed as a historic monument.
At the beginning of the 20th century some 300 vessels of this kind were active along the Breton coasts, some remaining in service until the 1960’s. During the popular maritime festivals the Sinagots provided a great spectacle, pitched into often fearsome regattas.
